Harry Reid says the Anarchists have taken over Congress

Senator Reid speaks and blames gridlock on the Anarchists. He mentions the Tea Party, but that's not all he means.

“We’re diverted totally from what this bill is about. Why? Because the anarchists have taken over,” Reid said on the Senate floor. “They’ve taken over the House and now they’ve taken over the Senate.“People who don’t believe in government — and that’s what the Tea Party is all about — are winning, and that’s a shame.”

OK, he called them Anarchists, which is what the RW calls us on the left when we do an anti-war protest. Why did Harry Reid choose this word? Was it to paint the Tea Party as extremist anti-government types? No I don't believe that for a minute.

It was a continuation of the ongoing effort of the Democratic Party PTB to paint anyone on the left as supporting Rand Paul when we object to Military action, or the NSA spying. This was a continuation of the effort to paint the principled left as idiot lackeys of the RW.

We've all seen it here. Even within the last couple days here, snide comments and threads about being a Putin lover because we don't line up and behave and support an asinine war. If we oppose the NSA's secret programs, we must be RW tools who hate Obama and Democrats.

Well gang. I like the Democratic Party. I love my rights as outlined in the Constitution. I detest stupid wars, and I won't ever support them. If my Brother was the President and suggest action on Syria the way President Obama has, I would speak out and oppose it.

I guess that makes me an anarchist by Harry Reid's definition. Well, it's true--I recently self-identified as an anarcho-socialist. Now I wonder why it took me so long to come out of the closet.

The teaparty people are so anti-government that they are equivalent to anarchists. All they want is for government to fail.

Most people who engage in peaceful protests aren't anarchists. They're people who are looking for a visible, united way to express their views. They want good government, not anarchy.

and grew stronger every decade. In the nineties things happened that should have been a career ender for many "professionals" and politicians, but unfortunately, when Bush came into office you could hardly separate their ambitions from the objectives promoted by Republicans.

The key to beating them is the Fourteenth Amendment. But it doesn't matter if we engrave the words under the statutes of Mount Rushmore. You're going to need Constitutional lawyers to take them to court and challenge them wherever bad practices are taking hold. This is the only way to wake everyone up, as I see it.

USA Today said a majority of the protestors in Portland were Anarchists. USA TODAY May 2 2013.

Israel says that Social Progressives are Anarchists.

http://www.timesofisrael.com/regev-the-protesters-are-anarchists-trying-to-topple-the-government/

Shall I continue? I know the definition, and that term is thrown at those it has no application to because it stigmatizes those groups and their objectives in challenging TPB. If you've been at an anti-war protest, somebody has labeled you an anarchist. If you've marched for Gay Rights, then someone has labeled you an anarchist. Perhaps only on a blog post, perhaps around the water cooler at work the next day, but they did label you.

I don't care how they define anarchy. I look at the dictionary:

anarchist:

1.a person who advocates or believes in anarchy or anarchism.

anarchy:

1. a state of society without government or law.

The teabaggers in Congress are indeed anarchists. They don't believe in government and they've made that clear.

Again, Reid was spot on.

I don't hate government, I hate weak "leaders" that won't do their fucking job. Give it an hour and Reid will walk whatever it was he said back. Give it another hour and he'll be blustering about filibuster reform again so he'll have something else to walk back later.

And they're not anarchists, he's wrong about that too. Teabaggers aren't even close to anarchists. They *love* government, when it lets them control women or shit on the poor or some minority group they despise, which is all of them. They're a cross of the worst traits of libertarian nutjobs and Christian Identity assholes.
