Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsChris Christie just committed political suicide.
Taken last night in the game between the home team, the Dallas Cowboy's---against--- wait for it--- the New York/New Jersey Giants.
For you non-football fans---he's sitting with the Jerry Jones---the Cowboy's owner and the most hated owner in all of football.
Oh and the little doughboy behind them---that's Reince Priebus.

I noticed that last night, it was a quick shot at their box, but I didn't notice Priebus.

(135,425 posts)A Republican would look at that alliance this way:
1. Look at CC, he got the enemy to pay for his ticket--and he got the best seats!
2. Look at CC, he's getting the enemy to make a political donation to him while watching his team play ball--sharp guy!
3. Look at CC, he's having a meeting with Rinse Penis while watching a football game--he'll be able to write that shit off on his taxes...and I'll bet he got a receipt from Jones for the seat, like he paid for it himself...snort!
Your error is thinking that Republicans would put something as quaint as "team loyalty" over other, personal, greed-laden considerations. They are loyal to the acquisition of power and little else. They're doing a great job fracturing the Democrats; what once was regarded as impossible might be do-able for them in a couple of years.

(392 posts)owners of the Giants, are they Dems? Why wouldn't Christie sit in their box, they were shown on the broadcast as well, but sans Christie.

(19,429 posts)They are the "New York Football Giants" and the "New York Jets". If you search their home pages for "Jersey" you get "No matches found".

(15,373 posts)By actually doing the right, humane thing (strike one with the GOP) by outlawing gay conversion therapy in New Jersey (strike two with the GOP). That was enough to call him out if he's planning to run for the GOP presidential nomination. This is just an unneeded third strike or even just a foul ball.
