Can and Will Obama strike Syria if the House says No?

He said he would ask Congress for support. He never said he felt he had to do so, but once he asks and is told No, can he strike? Will he strike?

If the House says No and he strikes anyway, doesn't he just give the "Impeach Him" wing of the repuke party something to talk about that finally replaces "Benghazi!"?

He has already done the right thing by putting this before congress.
If congress says no I would hope for a graceful back-down.
Trust.

If congress says yes?
Why do I think this is going to be a rough ride.
