Question for the Women of DU

Women of DU, married, single or in between, have you ever had a man send you a picture of his Anthony Weiner via twitter, email, text, etc. . .?
I'm afraid I have to answer yes, more times than I can count, and always unsolicited.

I'm a deep believer in "no photos" -- my dating days all predated social media, but kids, we certainly had Polaroids and I could tell you stories.

If any of my Anthonys had Weinered me, it would definitely have been a deal-breaker. And if someone from my workplace had done it, it would have meant a sexual harassment complaint mighty fast, as being totally creepy.

Once again, may I point out the manner in which the populace has thrown their own privacy away?

Thu Jul 25, 2013, 09:30 AM
Jul 2013

The most obvious is that anyone for whom a relationship with a woman is more than a theoretical abstraction knows that the best way to turn a woman off is to try to pressure her into any kind of intimacy before she feels ready. And this isn't the 1920's, women who are ready/interested in that aren't shy about expressing it. And of course, if a woman IS ready/interested you don't need something stupid like a weiner pic.

Even as a guy who has had nude pictures sent to me unsolicited twice by women, I can say that those pictures do not help if you are not interested in/don't find that person attractive anyway.

Then of course there is the whole "potential of naked pictures of ones-self being out there on the internet forever" thing.

won the contest for most creative costume by going as a "Dick-Tator" and all he wore was a Potato and a Raincoat....
Otherwise...nope.
There is no greater aversion than that, imo.

Thank God! In my day, there was no twitter, email or text. Photos might have been possible but I never got any (and would have been traumatized if I did, lol).

I would not associate with any guys that would even think about doing something like that! For the record, I'll be turning 50 in January, so most of my life was internet-free.

These typically are guys one might correspond with a bit online, and then they send the A.Weiner Jr. pic. It's not like they are actual boyfriends.

Besides, there are so many to pick from on Craigslist, who needs to get them in the mail

I don't give mine out. And anyone who has it is certainly not the type to send me pictures.

Otherwise, no. No random person has accidentally sent me a naked pic of themselves.

But then I don't give my email or phone number out to people I don't know. I also don't read email or text if the name is not in my address book, or I don't recognize it. And, I don't "do" facebook or twitter.

Years ago when I was a member of a political chat group, one older gentlemen befriended me and we began exchanging e-mails. Nothing personal, just political stuff.....until he started sending me "jokes" that contained some sexual stuff. At first I didn't want to be a prude about it and didn't say much, but that only seemed to encourage him to send even more graphic material. I finally blocked him when he sent a sick porno clip of a woman and a horse

I'm a victim of a few Internet pedophiles, looking back at it. I don't really feel much of a victim, but there you go...people take advantage of lonely horny teenagers to get off.

Since video games went mainstream, users are much more normal than they used to be.

Still lots of pedos I bet, though.

And, I don't use chat rooms and such...plus have spam alert and high privacy alert on my computer. I did get a bunch of viagra "type" ads once on Yahoo Mail...but didn't open them after reading the first raunchy line and immediately increased my mail security there.

Also...don't use Facebook so that probably is why it's not likely to happen.

someone did manage to hack one of our printers at work, and we got hundreds of pages print out of some old guy none of us knew, with his pecker sticking out. waste of paper and toner....

if i want to see your dick, i'll ask you to show it to me. i bet most women feel the same way.

Grossed me out. I can't for the life of me figure out why men do this. Do they really expect that woman will ooo and ahhh and compliment them over their harassing photos?

I do know women who have gotten them. Those pictures do [i[not have the effect the sender is hoping for.

Instead of being aroused to insatiable lust, most women pass them around to gales of laughter. A few get disgusted and stomp off in a huff.

(I am not implying that a certain age means one is not technologically savvy/ Weiner is not a "young'un&quot

Many of us "older folk" (I am 51) have been spared (or experienced in smaller numbers) than the younger folk.

To guys who do this or have the urge to do this kind of thing: We like your "equipment", we like what you do with it ... but, this is an invitation only sort of thing. If I haven't invited you to "show me" ... it probably means doing so is really going to p*ss me off!

Wouldn't want to see it, and wouldn't be interested. A man's weiner is not what turns me on. It's what's inside his other head (the one at the upper end of his neck) that intrigues me.
