The true difference between liberals and conservatives/teabaggers.Last edited Tue Jul 23, 2013, 07:34 AM - Edit history (1)
I've said this before, but I think that bears repeating given the state of lunacy we're seeing from the other side.
Liberals will spend hours debating whether 4 is 2 + 2 or 1 + 3. ![]() Conservatives will go to their hourly teabagger rallies, hear the speaker/screamer/screecher proclaim that 2 + 2 = 3, and then yell that anyone who says different is a traitor, communist, nazi, socialist, is committing treason, etc., ad infinitum! They will genuinely believe it, too! ![]() PEACE! ![]()

2. yes, you make a good point
and I can agree with you completely to an extent. I think that most liberals will initially think of 2+2=4, because society has programmed us to think of that equation. Ever since we were children, we have heard people in authority saying that 2+2=4, and so we assume it. But many of us will wonder if there is more to the story, and begin to question. Of course, logic bears that there are only so many numbers that can exist in this fact family. However, what about 3? Why have we forgotten three? In many cultures, three is considered a magic number. But in main stream America, we jump right past 3 and go straight to 2+2. We really should consider the implications of this on 3. And why should it be 3+1=4? Why not 1+3? Seriously. Should we assume that because 3 is the greater number that it should always come first? How could that possibly be fair to all the ones in the world? Who will speak for the ones? I will, that's who. I've seen too much in this life to be afraid now to stake my support for 1+3. It is really the only option that is fair to everyone, if you think about it. 1+3, that's for me.

And obviously 4 is 2+2. The people that think 4 is 1+3 are just trying to stir things up.

19. I wonder what conservative liberals are?
And is a liberal conservative the same as a conservative liberal?
There are some good people in the world who call themselves conservative. It is sad in this day and age that the people who are considered to be "liberal" in the USA are viewed as "conservative" elsewhere... and conservatives in the USA are considered "far right"... as for the Tea Party... I think the rest of them world thinks of them as being "batshit crazy". Apologies to batshit by the way. So to put your statement in "the rest of the world eyes" we have conservatives who can spend hours debating the topic "The answer is 4, what's the question", even with actual liberals or *omg* socialists... the far right and batshit crazy people will hear the speech saying 2+3 = 3 and anyone who disagrees is also batshit crazy (in their eyes anyway). Again, apologies to batshit. I understand batshit is useful as a natural fertilizer. |

But then, American conservatives actually know nothing about socialism. (Hint: Actual socialists do not like Obama, since he clearly is not a socialist.)

38. I spent over an hour trying to convince one of my co-workers of that
Actually, I was trying to show him that 0.99999... = 1.
The proof is simple: x = .99999... multiply both sides by 10, giving 10x = 9.99999.... subtract the first equation from the second: 10x = 9.99999.... - x = .99999... giving 9x = 9 divide both sides by 9, and x = 1. He simply would not believe that it was valid. |
