I could give a fart if whatshername gives birth to a two headed frog and it's disappointing to see all the fawning posts here about it.

They have a National Health Plan that covers all and is not designed to profit large corporations at the expense of human beings.

If you have enough money, you can see private doctors more quickly (queue jumping). I believe, though I could be wrong, that they still keep the mothers in the hospital for a week or so after birth. How much would that cost in the U.S.?

I knew what you were talking about the moment I read your title. It probably would have been better if the American television media had done stories discussing the fact that it costs more to have a baby in the United States of America than in almost any other country in the world. They could have then gone on to look into ways that the costs of giving birth in the United States could be reduced. They also could have addressed the issue your title brought up. What are the results of women in the United States going into labor without health insurance? What is it like to go into labor without health insurance?

However, the New York Times did print a story explaining that it costs more to have a baby in the United States than in most countries.
