Sad watching the discussion on MSNBC

Melissa Harris-Perry and Joy-Ann Reid with tear in their eyes.

Reid "Me, as a mom, I am completely flabbergasted as to what to tell my kids. I don't know what I'm going to say to them when I get home. I really don't. Because I can't answer the question where is it can you go that people will think you belong and that you're okay to be there. And now its not just police that can follow you and that you have to worry about how you talk to them, how you respond to the,pm, don't make any sudden movements. And we tell our boys that. But civilians too? I really don't know where to go with this honestly."

Heartbreaking.

the answer? Cause I teach my kids all of those precautionary ways to avoid aggressors but now it seems that the only answer for people in a place as crazy as Florida is to get them as many self defense classes and a gun permit.

Then continue to beat them while they are yelling for help.

Don't do that and you will be ok

be careful out there.
If you are attacked you might deserve to die for defending yourself if you do a good job at it.
According to you.

There is something sick in this country when a monster can walk free and an innocent young black child is murdered while trying to get home. Today’s not a good day for the so called justice system. This is wrong. Just wrong.

I haven't watched the news since reading the verdict here on DU. I don't want to see the smirk on that murderer's face as he walks free. And yes, what do you tell your son if he is a black male? I don't know the answer to that.
