5. I would like to see more DUers do their best to avoid FB.

To avoid internet services that openly provide backdoors to the NSA or any other state "intelligence" agency/organ, regardless of the country the service is based in.

So:
1. Use open source as much as possible.
2. Take care when using "the cloud", the increasingly easy service provided by compromised agencies that allow NSA, and no doubt many others for a fee, access. How else could google make money if not by selling the information it acquires? And that bloated turd that owns facebook, who tries to look like Steve Jobs? In my opinion he's a parasite, and "the cloud" that includes him is a no-no.
3. We should go down the list and eliminate these bloodsuckers from our environment. Take our time to do it and do it right - because these bloodsuckers are like tics whose bodies one can crush even while the head continues to burrow under the skin, oblivious to that trauma.
4. Anyone who's had that #3 experience will understand the correctness of my analogy.

I'm actually inactive on FB and haven't joined Diaspora. The thing about joining Diaspora is you gotta talk others into doing it, too. With people being a bit suspicious of FB these days, it seems like the argument is getting stronger.

But I have to work hard enough just to be social in meatspace, so my online presence is pretty limited.
