and does anyone recall seeing this part of the
defense closing?
(Comment in the comment section from Leatherman)
Mark OMaras closing was quite possibly
the worst argument that I have ever witnessed.
At times he seemed almost incoherent.
The worst part of it occurred when he showed Trayvons
death photo to the jury and tipped it so that Sybrina
Fulton could see it.
She left the courtroom.
Deliberate or accidental?
I dont believe he had to show the photo to support
or illustrate his argument, so I have decided that
he did it deliberately with malice aforethought.
His defining characteristic throughout this case has
been to use motions as a vehicle to disclose private
information about Trayvon Martin and to falsely
accuse Bernie de la Rionda of discovery violations
to conceal his failure to exercise due diligence in
performing his job.
I shudder with disgust when I hear his name or the
sound of his voice.
John Guys rebuttal was sublime. He blew me away
and that is not easy to do.

(47,209 posts)size- because he had lost HALF his BLOOD. Somehow, that asshole O Mara thought that helped his case.
He then showed a pic of Trayvon without a shirt- not looking too buff either. I think he was hoping to scare the ladies. But it looked like a cute pic of a teenager to me.

The photo he was showing was a shirtless Trayvon (a selfie from Facebook or something)
The photo was taken from a low angle, and I suppose O'Mara was trying to convey that Trayvon was actually a muscular threatening black man.
He may have showed a photo of the deceased immediately prior
O'Mara was rambling about how a photo of a dead person is misleading because there was no muscle tone and Trayvon lost half his blood volume.
Upon edit: Yeah, what bettyellen wrote.

I don't know how Trayvon's mother could bear to
listen to the defense, or even be in the courtroom
with the smirking zombified Zimmerman and his
slimy nasty lawyers.
Both Trayvon's parents are beautiful people
physically but there was a way deeper beauty
I thought shining out of them and it was
righteousness. And steel.
I saw only ugliness from the entire defense team
and I think almost every single one of their
witnesses.

Just seventeen, that's a beautiful boy.
There will be justice. If not from this jury,
somewhere.
