Ohio Attorney General and former US Senator Mike DeWine to endorse Santorum...
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Republican presidential contender Rick Santorum seems poised to kick off his Ohio campaign this afternoon with a blockbuster announcement: the backing of Attorney General Mike DeWine, who late last year endorsed Mitt Romney.
The Associated Press and others, citing unidentified sources, are reporting this afternoon that Santorum and DeWine, former colleagues in the U.S. Senate, will appear together at a 3 p.m. news conference at the Statehouse in Columbus.
DeWine's switch would be another bold sign that momentum in the GOP field has shifted Santorum's way.
