GZ followed TM and grabbed him (maybe from behind) on the dog walk; "let me go, let me go" (phone witness)
TM swung his head back striking GZ in the nose; (no blood on TM's hands or front of his hoody)
They fell back or slipped on the wet ground and GZ struck the back of his head on the sidewalk; small cuts on his head
They started rolling and fighting in the grass; several witness
TM yelled for help and never hit GZ or covered his mouth; (no blood on TM's hands or sleeves)
As they rolled around, GZ got his gun out and as TM tried to stand to get away, GZ shot him point blank
GZ had enough coursework and knowledge of self-defense to know he had to make up a story, and in a minute or two before the cops arrived he quizzed the guy with the flashlight and others to confirm no one was a clear witness, so he made up a story that he was in fear for his life and was ambushed in the dark....

(8,514 posts)That explains a lot of things.
While that's an interesting theory, it completely goes against what most already know:
Zimmerman was out to kill. I don't think he would have acted in the manner you describe, as it would have introduced too many variables which would have muddied his chances of getting to kill TM.
GZ was out to kill, not bear-hug and detain TM.

(9,067 posts)but he was prepared to shoot someone - and likely chambered a round before he set out to follow TM.
I just can't see the bloody nose and holding GZ's head without any blood or DNA on TM's hands or sleeves, so he likely head butted him some way. It was wet and easy to slip and hit your head.
I wouldn't be surprised if GZ had tried to tackle or hold TM - which explains the witnesses who heard the chase and voices arguing, and the girl friend who hear "what are you doing around here" and "let me go".

The OP makes more sense than anything else I have heard.
I agree with your perspective on the Travon Martin/ Zimmerman case. Nevertheless, it appears that Zimmerman will walk. The prosecution's case against him is weak. What really pissed me off was seeing Zimmerman on the news today in court, chuckling(July3,2013). That pudgy looking bastard knows that he is going to get away with murder. Where is the justice for Travon?

I think he is definitely going down.

(550 posts)we all got them.
what matters most in a trial is that you have disproved everything else, taking into the account human beings/witnesses remembering some things wrong.
And that there is nothing left but your theory on how to condemn and persecute.

(9,067 posts)if you have a different theory, then you should post it...if you see some evidence that is different as the trial unfolds, then you should state how that fits your theory.
Simply responding with the obvious - that a trial is going on and lawyers are trying to "prove" something to the jury is also given.
BTW, sometimes trials get it wrong for many reasons - rules of evidence, quality of lawyers, bad judges, poor police work, and biased juries are always a potential part of the outcome.
Maybe we'll never know the truth.
