TROTTA: But while all of this is going on, just a few weeks ago, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta commented on a new Pentagon report on sexual abuse in the military. I think they have actually discovered there is a difference between men and women. And the sexual abuse report says that there has been, since 2006, a 64% increase in violent sexual assaults. Now, what did they expect? These people are in close contact, the whole airing of this issue has never been done by Congress, its strictly been a question of pressure from the feminist.
And the feminists have also directed them, really, to spend a lot of money. They have sexual counselors all over the place, victims advocates, sexual response coordinators.
So, you have this whole bureaucracy upon bureaucracy being built up with all kinds of levels of people to support women in the military who are now being raped too much.

5% will cross the line into reverse bigotry. (Much of The Nation of Islam, Kahane and the Jewish Defense League, Valerie Solanas)
5% will be self-hating collaborators. (overseers, vicious Jewish concentration camp capos, and yes, anti-feminist women)

Apparently, those damn do-gooder feminists are causing military rape to rise above the proper amount.

(37,648 posts)I don't know if its jealousy or old age or women thinking that getting more rights makes them less womanly, or what. But it's been this way forever, I think. Some women were against women's suffrage. Some were against adding women to the civil rights act, to protect against discrimination for gender, not only for race and age. Some were against women working outside the home. Phyllis Shlafley, who is still alive!, was against everything regarding women's rights.
In a way, I can see where it COULD be foreseen that more rapes than normal would occur, when women are cloistured with men in military situations. But that doesn't make it the women's fault, or a reason for them not to have rights to be in the military. Once again, that is a MAN problem that others are putting on the women. A MAN does something wrong, and it becomes the WOMAN'S fault, just for being there. The implication being that "boys will be boys," and men have no control over themselves.
That's like saying that it's the fault of a small guy if he's picked on and raped in the military by the other, bigger guys. No, no one would say that. They would put the blame where it lies: with the perpetrator of the crime. No one would say, "Well, what do they expect? He's a little guy. If he weren't there, it wouldn't have happened!"

(14,177 posts)She scoffed at the idea that women should be protected from criminal acts just because they are in the military. I guess since violence is a part of the military she would scoff at men being legally protected from being murdered. I mean what do they expect they are in the military right?

(172 posts)their country if they want to without having to fear rape. I think we need women in the armed forces because our troops do come into contact with women from whatever country they're in and if those women see other women in uniform, it might be easier to get them to side with us.
