According to James Fallows in The Atlantic Magazine:
"Obama is more likely to be spending time with papers or a book, or even to be onlineprowling through the same blogs and news sites as the rest of us"
So do you think he wanders around here reading all our little snippets and snappets?
President Obama, do you?

...Or if he was just reading my journal!

(20,600 posts)if Obama all this time had been an undercover Duer! Maybe he defends himself vigorously and is known as a hard core Obama supporter.
But seriously, I think the odds are slim to none that Obama has ever even browsed DU, DU isn't one of the bigger or more well known political left sites around. Daily KOS, Huffington Post are the ones that come to mind as much more prominent than DU.

(37,573 posts)Stephen King, in the foreward to the Bachman books told a story about how McCartney (or maybe Lennon) said he would like to just walk away from the Beatles and play in an anonymous bar band. King said something like - the public would spot you after about four notes. King tried being anonymous with the Bachman books and did not get very far before speculation swirled around that Bachman = King.
Similarly, if the President registered here with an anonymous username and posted something besides LOL or KNR, his "voice" as it were (not to make an accidental Whitney reference today) would be spotted.

(72,942 posts)For the 12 Mittens duration, I am submitting this angry cocker spaniel for use as the representative of all dogs. This pic was in the local paper's Sunday available-for-adoption a few years ago. He was taken by the time I called. He is thoroughly pissed, not, I hope, the reason he ended up in the shelter, but rather for being subjected to the indignity of doggie jail.
