"Obama is more likely to be spending time with papers or a book, or even to be online—prowling through the same blogs and news sites as the rest of us"

I DO know he has his staff monitoring message boards and DU would be a great resource because I've seen him implement several of my suggestions. 
if Obama all this time had been an undercover Duer! Maybe he defends himself vigorously and is known as a hard core Obama supporter. 
But seriously, I think the odds are slim to none that Obama has ever even browsed DU, DU isn't one of the bigger or more well known political left sites around. Daily KOS, Huffington Post are the ones that come to mind as much more prominent than DU.
For the ‘12 Mittens duration, I am submitting this angry cocker spaniel for use as the representative of all dogs. This pic was in the local paper's Sunday available-for-adoption a few years ago. He was taken by the time I called. He is thoroughly pissed, not, I hope, the reason he ended up in the shelter, but rather for being subjected to the indignity of doggie jail.
