Can anyone explain this to me?
A conservative friend posted this on Facebook and I've not heard anything about it before.
But since this is from Faux, i give it no credibility. He says Biden 'outed' them, as if Biden listed their names etc. Surely he must have said nothing more than 'seal team 6'?

1. The link claims they had a press conference on May 9, 2013. Is that what the video is?
I admittedly didn't watch it

2. It's sad that they were killed
As for the accusations at the administration:
1.) They had 3 months to request a reassignment, transfer or honorable discharge. 2.) Not sure how the Taliban would know they were Seal Team 6 from the ground. 3.) They just found out their lives were in danger in Afghanistan? Isn't the possibility of injury or death one of the first things you are informed about when you sign up for the military? So they knew going in to the military it was dangerous and they knew 3 months ahead of time they could be a special target. At that point, that is when they should have reevaluated their priorities. If the "working" conditions had become unacceptable 3 months ago, even a dishonorable discharge, barring all other options, should have been seriously considered. |

3. As best I understand this particular piece of shit being thrown at the wall...
A few days after the raid that killed bin laden, Joe Biden confirmed that it was Seal Team Six that did the job. This, was what allowed al-queda to feed bad intel that there would be some high profile target in a specific place/time and that instantly they would get Seal Team Six and have their revenge.
There are a few problems with this... First, I remember that night, after watching President Obama's announcement, my brother and I had a discussion. We agreed it had to be Seal Team Six with an outside chance of Delta Squad... We have seen more then one action movie in the last 20 years or so ![]() It is more shit being thrown against the wall by the racist nut job repugs that would rather ruin this country then see it saved by a black man. |

4. B.S. as usual
Why is Biden to blame? Repeating a story that ran on Snopes back in January 2012, Klayman claims,
“Shortly after that successful raid on bin Laden, the president - through the vice president for political purposes - released the name of SEAL Team Six. That’s classified information, and even (then) Defense Secretary Robert Gates was critical of that. So that was like putting a target on the backs of the sons of my clients.” Klayman is speaking of a speech given by Joe Biden on May 3, 2011 at the Atlantic Council’s 50th anniversary, where supposedly Biden “outed” Seal Team 6 as the killers of Bin Laden. Yet, if you listen to the speech, Biden does not identify the unit, saying simply “SEALS.” Watch for yourself, in a video provided by some folks who, like Klayman, blame Biden (though they did not apparently actually watch the video): http://www.politicususa.com/seal-team-6-gate-replaces-benghanzi-worst-scandal.html |

5. a big, big,
big lie. This originated from World Nut Daily.
Here are the relevant bits from Biden’s speech: Let me briefly acknowledge tonight’s distinguished honorees. Admiral James Stavridis is a, is the real deal. He can tell you more about and understands the incredible, the phenomenal, the just almost unbelievable capacity of his Navy SEALs and what they did last Sunday. and, from http://www.politicususa.com/seal-team-6-gate-replaces-benghanzi-worst-scandal.html Folks, I’d be remiss also if I didn’t say an extra word about the incredible events, extraordinary events of this past Sunday. As Vice President of the United States, as an American, I was in absolute awe of the capacity and dedication of the entire team, both the intelligence community, the CIA, the SEALs. It just was extraordinary. |

7. Or maybe they watched the SEAL TEAM VI movie? (2008)
Or the SECRETS OF SEAL TEAM 6 television movie, 2011?
Or maybe they read the book, INSIDE SEAL TEAM 6, 2011? ...one of the worst kept secrets in the military, it would seem. |

8. I am not surprised. The Biden issue is neither here nor there.
To me the hype and fervor around this story smelled like the Jessica Lynch story. Now people close to the story are dying as often happens with stories that smell fishy. I smelled something stinky when they said they buried him at sea, and they simultaneously refused to release any photos. Whatever else they think they accomplished, they also, coincidentally, made it impossible for any independent verification that they got the right guy.
