Nancy Grace for me. Everything about her is irritating, from her brand of 'justice' before a trial has even started, to the irritating "pushy" tone she has.
This is followed second by O'Reilly, with his phony "father knows best" act and smug arrogance. Hey Bill, the word of the day is "STFU"

(10,857 posts)... Nancy Grace always looks as if she can smell her own bullshit.
But hey, she made a valuable career for herself by gobbling up a few hours of prime time news and crapping out a "missing blonde chick of the week" show in its stead.
The America in which we live would not be possible without her, for a better informed populace would have never allowed this state of affairs.

(10,479 posts)his father. I must admit I never cared for his father. But to the network he was God. I don't blame Luke for his position but he has not learned enough yet to be a "news person." To me he will always be a neophyte with a voice to match.

(16,993 posts)I know the bar for them is set pretty low, but she's such a sensationalist...
I guess most of them are. O'Reilly is one of the worst, as are Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, and Coulter.
I can't stand Chris Matthews. Sometimes he's spot on, but he doesn't know when to shut up and I find that very rude and irritating. Also, he's often dead wrong. Bashir, Sharpton, Maddow, O'Donnell, and Schultz are a big contrast to Matthews, and I always thought Matthews was the top guy at MSNBC. He's less professional than the others, and I'd rather see people like Joy Reid have a show instead of airing Hardball twice during the week.

(2,208 posts)He is just SO fucking stupid.
And the worst kind of fucking stupid - the kind of fucking stupid that thinks he's really smart.
Grace and O'Reilly are both pretty intelligent, but play stupid for the money.
Hannity is the opposite.
I know a few stupid people who love Hannity, and his role is to make people who are fucking stupid think that they are smart, because they can relate to him.

(24,461 posts)Pointing out an annoying political commentator on Faux is pretty much like asking who is the worst modern Republican president. Shillvuto is nothing but a smarmy, nasally, insufferable corporate apologist pushing toxic narratives that speak to your favorite absolutist.
Plus, he looks vaguely like Kim Jong Il.

(5,842 posts)The whole Morning Joe program is just a trough to feed his ego so it doesn't starve.
The guy's been out of Congress how long now...10 years, more? Yet he acts as though he left just last November with his constant pratter of about "when in Congress I did this or this is how we worked this out". Moron doesn't realize that if the Tea Party had existed when he was in Congress it would have been just as dysfunctional then at it is now.
Even when covering the tornado yesterday it was all about him (when I was in Alabama a tornado did this, when I was in Florida a hurricane did this, blah, blah, blah).

(47,399 posts)He can relate everything to HIM. He tells the same stories over and over again and everyone sits there in strained silence as he dominates the conversation.
Most people have had a relative like Joe, who goes on and on knowing darn well that everyone has heard that story before. He doesn't care, he has to be the center of attention all the time. Its his show and he'll bore the crap out of everyone if he wants to. When he isn't giving long monologues, he is bullying someone just because he doesn't like them. Not a great personality for television.

(10,893 posts)From the Right, it is hard to choose because there are so many, but I suppose I'll choose Hannity and Limbaugh. Hannity always drives me insane whenever he calls Obama "the anointed one", even despite the President being elected twice with respectable margins of victory. The true "anointed one" was his predecessor Bush ll, who only became president due to a SC ruling that screwed up the vote tallying in FL. As for Limbaugh, I hate how he calls us the "Democrat Party" instead of "Democratic Party". He seems to be doing it on purpose in order to try and make the case that our party is somehow undemocratic, or maybe to emphasize the "rat" part of the word "Democrat". Also, even though I'm not a woman, it makes me sick to hear him calling people "feminizis" who only want to see women on the same playing field as men and to not be insulted.
With regards to political commentators on the Left who I find annoying, it would be Cenk Ugyur and John Fugelsang. These are a couple of people who come across to me as those who expect a president to be all-powerful and to be able to magically set forth a progressive agenda without the help of Congress. Every time I hear from them, they rarely have anything positive to say about Obama. They criticize him for some things that aren't really his fault, like how UE isn't dropping as fast as everyone would like. It would be dropping much faster had our friends in the House passed his proposed Jobs Bill in 2011. And there's the matter with chained CPI, but again as I have stated on here repeatedly--it was not the President's ideal budget. They act as if he is a Republican in sheep's clothing who is so eager to cut stuff, but the President has had over 4 years and a party across the aisle more than willing to help him to enact cuts to entitlements, and he still has yet to do so. Plus there are other parts of the deal that the Left would support, such as higher top tax rates and funding for universal pre-school. And Cenk really lost me when he made the assertion that Gary Johnson, the Libertarian, was a "true progressive". Never mind the fact that his fiscal policy is even more hostile towards working-class folk than that of the average Republican. Johnson is essentially a Ron Paul clone. I just quit watching those two shows after a while. The ones I like on Current (which is the channel they come on) are Full Court Press and Talking Liberally.

(25,257 posts)Since she is a former prosecutor, she should know better. She isn't objective at all and she is more tabloid than anything.
One time, she devoted an entire hour to Lindsey Lohan.
Oh and when she starts showing pictures of her kids ad naseum....she really overdoes it.
I don't mind watching her if she has something worthwhile to say. But much of what she says often isn't worth the time.
A few years ago, she did a series called, "Missing in America", which was pretty decent.
I haven't watched HLN in a few years, but Vinnie Politan had a show at around 5pm. Vinnie gave a more professional rundown of legal news. Plus, he's cute.
