Here's how it all went down:

1. Palin uses Santorum's daughter's illness as the basis for an article she writes for The Beast, which describes her experience with her child Trig.

2. Writer Eddie Scarry at the Blaze points out how Palin uses Santorum's unfortunate situation to talk about her favorite subject - herself, and the article's Santorum-to-Palin word count ratio.

3. Freepers respond (you'll have to find the link yourself) with predictable rending of garments and outrage:

Beck lost me when he started trashing the tea party. He always seemed a bit “off” to me..the crying business, I knew that was all an act. He has a special needs child and this is the kind of garbage he has posted on his site, absolutely DISGUSTING and it says more about Beck then it does the idiot who posted the crap

It is rapidly approaching time for conservatives to jettison the Beck Express. It has jumped the rails and become a threat to the sanity of the Republic.

To see right wingers rejecting that psycho-drama fear mongering Beck. I have no problem with conservatives following their principles. A healthy, robust debate between conservatives and liberals is expected. However, Beck is pedaling a big ol sack of crazy. The man is a shameless embarrassment.

I don't know what Beck is selling, but it's not conservatism. He is an unhinged freak.

Maybe when the right stops listening to Beck's poison, there can be a true dialog in this country. Have you ever tried to have a political discussion with a Beckian? It's mind boggling, disturbing and damn near impossible. Beck is a former alcoholic sho clearly was medicating an imbalance. Others on the Blaze said that he was bipolar. Clearly something is very off.

Conservatives should be ashamed that they ever lapped up Beck's crazy talk.
