Smith Of Texas - National Science Foundation Must Justify All Science Research That Is Fed Funded.

Smith of Texas is demanding that the NSF report back on all its research and justify what it is investigating. Plans to present legislation that would force NSF report to Congress everything it does and get approval.

If you read between the lines the GOP actually wants the power to determine what research will be done.

To show how they have used the money and any resulting publications. The people you want deciding if that research is worthwhile is GOP congressmen. Good grief.

The new thing is that the GOP has decided NSF should not fund political science because it's "political." Dopes.

Soon there will be lack of evidence that dinosaurs became extinct long before Eve ate her apple.

Throw the climate studies out with the bath water. A waste of government money.

Robots? They are good. Anything to replace workers that call in sick.

Military? There simply isn't enough research done on ways to kill people.

Non lethal technology? It is the only way to stop the massive "hippie" protests coming our way in the future.

Yes. Let radical Republicans dictate our Science funding. It will be directed in all the right places.

At 54, I hope I don't reach the age when our society reads like some warped Sci-Fi book.
