Disgusting. Don Lemon on CNN has been involved in an Obama-bash fest all afternoon-first over Miranda rights, now over who the quote unquote buck stops with, demanding accountability. The media is so blatantly in the tank for the GOP its disgusting. All of us know that the question: How could the Bush administration have let Sept. 11, 2001 happen was never asked by the GOP toady media. So upset and angry that I am ready to throw up. Don Lemon is a GOP hack that FNC would be proud of!!!
I thought CNN was neutral but its just as much in the tank for the GOP if not more so as Fox is!

(1,835 posts)for the Obama admin to have read the suspect his Miranda rights so soon (Monday) That the reading should have been held off for much longer and how it is such an outrage...

(53,661 posts)We mustn't forget who were the chief cheerleaders for the Iraq War and went out of their way to give the Tea Party a platform, then did the same for Romney and Ryan. They're angry after sounding the war drums to go to war with North Korea, Iran, Syria or anyone else they can think of while Obama is just ignoring their greedy schemes. The bias was evident all the way to the Founders spinning in their graves. Liberal media, ha!

(2,562 posts)I hope President Obama keeps on ignoring their greedy war schemes.
These days, we could generate enough electricity to power the whole country if we hooked up to the Founders graves.
Liberal media...it would be a huge belly laugh, if it wasn't such a miserable lie.

A DUer said something similar about some other issue. He had never heard of the problem under *, and there was complete media silence. Took 50 second to reply with a bunch of DU OPs about NYT, WaPo, and other prominent MSM media reports nailing * for the issue year after year. With posts by the DUer in question in the following discussions. He didn't remember the media coverage, the DU postings, or even his own rather outraged postings.
This is a bit worse than the response to 2001, mostly because it's a lesser horror than the one we've been through already. On the other hand, supposedly we're better protected than we were in 2001, esp. since Obama has been billed as so much better than * in every way. If he's better, he's to be held to a higher standard. If he's to be held to the same standard, he's not better (at least in this regard). And if he's to be held to a lower standard, the inference is that we think he's worse (at least in this regard).
There is something in common between the two attacks, though: After each, some group used it as an emotional, gutwrenching appeal for the reduction and restriction of some rights. In 2001 we were reminded of Franklin's "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Now we just need to stop the violence and think of the children.
M'eh. Memnosyne would be pissed off.
