The White House rose garden event (non) bill-signing for the failed gun bill is one of the more memorable public appearances of Obama's career.
Turned out to be a substantial speech... all sorts of guests... very angry and emotional. Very intense direct appeal. Not flowery, just grim and pissed off. (still speaking at 5:53 ET)
