I think it is only fair that, since those of us who express any serious disagreement with anything the President proposes are routinely dismissed as being part of an alleged "Professional Left," we have a parallel term for those who reflexively defend anything the President does or says. Therefore, I propose "Professional Obama Defenders" (or "PODs" or "POD people" for short). Fair enough?

There is no need to hurl epithets at people who are even more afraid of and offended by facts, figures, links to authoritative materials than they are of taunts or catcalls. Citation of actual information before these folks is like holding a crucifix up to a vampire, it causes them to shrink and wither.
