had to have been behind the flag burning. what better way to divide and conquer? nobody who is genuinely trying to rally the working class would do something so sure to piss off its members. - or at least alienate them from the movement.

think about it. the ptbs (and their police lackeys) have been proven to plant people in crowds to make real protesters look bad and that is clearly what this is.

i am sure that the real protesters will denounce this blatant attempt to paint ows as something they are not - anti-american . for once we have a genuine populist grassroots movement, and the 1 percent will stop at nothing to dicredit it.

assholes who decided to burn the flag. Do we really have to go conspiracy theory truther-style for everything. It makes us look silly. Until we know for sure who they were and what they were up to, we shouldnt make baseless claims just because we want them to be true.

All you have to say is:

1. Those guys were assholes
2. We dont support that and the Occupy movement isnt about that.

There. Now the movement can move on to the next challenge without getting bogged down in the, "it was like a government conspiracy, maaaaan" rhetoric.

for you.

But if you don't think the police and their masters, the 1% aren't working deliberately to diss-inform and change the minds of us lowly 99%ers you are sadly deluded.

4. simply demand the identification and arrest of the city hall vandals

400 people were being arrested for gathering together while the city hall vandals walked away
while showing the damage done,

Quan said Sunday she believed officers had modified their tactics to better single out troublemakers.

demand these troublemakers be singled out
if the police pursue them, we will find out who they are
if the police do not pursue them, we will find out something else

... offer a reward for information on and conviction of those who broke the law.

That would make a clear statement.

It would be nice if OWS would disavow the damage but I don't think there is anyone in a leadership capacity willing to do that.

.. skeptical as to who the flag burners and vandals are also. Quite convenient that none of them were arrested, but 400 who had nothing to do with the law breaking were. Dirty cops have no qualms about playing dirty.
