and that will effect the warning system we have for tornadoes. Late winter and into the spring is prime
tornado season too ..... large masses of warm air bumping into large masses of cooler air can develop
tornadoes and or other super storms.
Republicans really do not like or care about the American people.

(11,619 posts)My household will take a 15% pay cut when the sequester kicks in, and we have not seen a pay raise in three years. We are already planning how we will survive for the next year on mandatory austerity. Along withe the cut in pay, we will also see higher food costs because cuts to the FDA will lead to higher food prices. The fact that more extreme weather will continue to cause prices of food to go up just makes it worse.
We are settled on gong back to a land line only because it is much cheaper.
We are discussing cutting cable and internet. It will be free WIFI at the library or from the Starbucks or Panera parking lots. (No money to buy a cup of coffee to rent a table for two hours.) I will be going to those parking lots on a bicycle, because my bicycle doesn't use gas. Along with eating less, it will be good for my waistline.
Fortunately, we have no credit card debt, or car payment, just a House Payment.
Yes, cuts to the NWA will hurt, but they are just a part of cuts to FDA, cuts to Military Hospitals (I'm a retired veteran who gets my service form one and due to furloughs they will cut services by at least 15%), cuts to police, cuts to education.
This is just the beginning of Greek Style Austerity led by Republicans. The results will be similar. Now, pardon me, I have to go plant more tomatoes. The NWA's woes do not increase the cost of sunshine and sweat one bit. My neighbors are gong to put in more cucumbers and zucchini. We can trade.
