Thoughts on hubris

While I thought the documentary was interesting and did have some information I had not heard before (Powell quote) and one or two other items but most of it was NOT new information nor game-changing in my opinion. Most here at DU likely already knew most of it and a lot of it has been public domain information for years. It's great that it was condensed into one source and gave a decent, if to brief, review of how we were lied to and people murdered and taxpayers screwed, but at the end of the day, it was not ground breaking or risky or especially noteworthy. It was interesting. I'm happy Rachel did it. It will not get any play in the media nor will the players in that fiasco make any comments about it in public, on the record or otherwise. They have no need to. Their lies have been screamed about from the mountain tops for years....this doesn't change anything.

They got away with it easier than OJ. That is what has me so furious. They just walked away and aren't even troubled. I might be a little happier if Bush looked haunted or something. Cheney just has that satisfied smirk. Wish an old man shot him in the face.
