I've made both donations to the recipients of my choice.
I don't know either of them, nor do I expect anything in return.

If they wish to acknowledge the donations, that's entirely up to them.

My decisions were based on (My perception of the) need and immediacy of the issue.
I'm generally loathe to make decisions of who's worthy and who isn't, but I went with my gut.

Thank you all for helping me spend way too much money, today.

Your hearts represent a donation to DU. Distributing them to other DUers is a nice thing!

While I don't need the hearts (I post so little, I'd barely see them), I'll offer this:

For every heart I receive as a result of this thread, I will donate $2 to one of the DUers in the Wishadoo! thread from Valentines Day.

I don't post here much but I have donated a bit. I have more to give as a result of a long run of bad/good luck.

I was impressed at the donations for our "unnamed, but popular" DUer, but there are others not as popular, who also need help.
Impress me again... Give me hearts and I'll add that to what I've already donated to those in need through Wishadoo.

I'm really no one special or important. I've been fortunate enough to have a family that planned in advance when I did not.

I have no idea whether I'll post more, as I'm really a loner, and I'm not really sure my contributions will have much weight.
I'd like to add more than the occasional "LOL".
