Honestly--I never want the Republicans to figure out what is wrong with their party.

Ever---I don't want them to re-brand---I hope that Karl Rove fails in his obvious attempt to do so---I hope the Tea Party continues to revere douchebags like Ted Cruz.

Many predicted that the continued wing-nuttery of the Republican party would be the demise of the party.

It is now happening much to my delight. So I say to the Republican Party. Don't change a thing.

...there is danger in a one-party government, too. I think the best thing to happen would be for the GOP to reinvent itself from the ground up.

Or, if the GOP entirely self-destructs, maybe some new party will take its place?

adher to the rational Republican values of old. The current 'new' Republican party consists of a mismash of individualism and strict capitalism.

But they are too obtuse to notice it, flush the rabid right wing tea partiers out. It is why I jumped ship many years ago.

Sarah Palin was but one nail in the coffin too, thought I would add that for good measure. I am happy in my new home and can say my views have moved much to he left now that I am out of that hell hole.

with the help of re-districting, voting abuses, and the wide spread dispersal of misinformation. If they can't re-brand, they'll steal or rig the system.

They'll hold onto enough seats in Congress to continually cripple anything that remotely benefits the Democratic agenda. And they'll settle for that.

It's always going to be monied interests vs the common good. While it's great that Republicans are finding failure is the result of expressing the purest forms of greed, hatred and idiocy, I don't trust our party to do its best against no reasonable alternative. It just lowers the bar for everyone.

to the progressive that we get a long trend of politicians fleeing from everything today's Republicans represent, I guess. I don't want to see Dems succeed politically as Republican Lite / 3rd Wayers as so many seem to advocate.

is that they don't fill the proper role of the opposition, seeking out and destroying corruption in the other party.

Prominent Republicans these days are only interested in fleecing the herd through book deals and the echo chamber and not doing checks and balances and offering policies.

These repub congressional representatives do not work on behalf of the people; they don't research, initiate, legislate nor pass bills! They take no initiative, only BLOCK the President's initiatives. They take vacation when they have done absolutely no work. All of them need to be fired pronto, and let people who want to work on behalf of the people work for the people.

I don't even bother to listen to these scalawags say anything, anymore. It is just a recording going back 10-20 years but has definitely gotten worse in the last 4-1/2 years. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
