Good news from Florida

Marist poll of FLORIDA

If the 2012 presidential election were held today, whom would you support if the candidates are:

Barack Obama: 49
Mitt Romney: 41
Undecided: 10

Barack Obama: 52
Newt Gingrich: 35
Undecided: 13

In practical terms Romney would get at least two thirds of those undecideds so Obama is not quite as far ahead there as it appears, but this poll is conducted in the midst of big Mitt Romney advertising in Florida, and in the midst of a primary where all ads trash Obama, so any lead is a good lead.

Mitt Romney's money advantage in a Obama-Romney race

Romney outspent Gingrich by a large margin in Iowa--Romney won

Romney and Gingrich spent about the same in South Carolina--Gingrich won

Romney is outspending Gingrich by a huge margin in Florida--Romney is winning

Billionaires like the Koch brothers will flood the TV market with negative ads against Obama in a general race

I just sent a small sum to the Obama campaign. It will take millions of small sums to compete with the Koch brothers and their ilk in the general
