Why do you think the pope decided to bag it?

(Note: this is not about religion. It is about a man who, in my view, conspired to cover up epidemic levels of pedophilic rape. Pardon my disrespect of the man.)

The reports are about his health.

This is the first such resignation in SIX HUNDRED YEARS. The popes in my lifetime have stayed in the job until they died. Several seemed more frail and infirmed than this guy.

I think he just can't stand himself anymore.

Good riddance.

The Rat is abandoning a sinking ship before he drowns with it. I do believe that's his motive.

Hate is a disease that will eat you from the inside out and the Pope has to spend every day spreading hate of Gays and Birth Control and non-Catholics and everything that doesn't fit into his world view. The stress of all the pedophile cover ups is also probably killing him and he just doesn't want to deal with it anymore.

Something that, obviously, most popes don't get to do when they die in office.

But, it's because of the child rapes they covered up. And the pope was in it up to his neck or higher.

That smashing of the ring, and hammering of the pope's head. But that's just me.

Either way we get to have another colored smoke watch. *so exciting*

He has sat on the trunk lid keeping the secrets for too long. He is toast. When will the Catholics wake up to the abuse that children suffer in the name of the church.
