Very much more serious is the role of Joseph Ratzinger, before the church decided to make him supreme leader, in obstructing justice on a global scale. I used to say, "is the pope Polish?" to anyone asking an obvious question (so much more refined than "Does a bear shit in the woods?&quot . Then it was "is the pope a Nazi?" I wonder what the next one will be.
