The Interview:
Julian Assange is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of WikiLeaks and co-author of Cypherpunks: Freedom and the Future of the Internet. For the past seven months he has been living in the Ecuadorean embassy in London, where he has been granted diplomatic asylum. He joins us via satellite.
The Panel:
Josh Barro is a reporter for Bloomberg TV and lead writer for Bloomberg View's The Ticker, which provides "quick commentary on economics, politics and global affairs." This week he outlined Why Opposition to Medicaid Expansion is Nuts.
Martin Bashir is the host of MSNBC's 'The Martin Bashir Show,' which airs weekdays at 4pm ET, and is a contributor to NBC's Dateline. Bashir also has a passion for reggae music and taught himself to play electric bass. He released his first album, Bass Lion, in 2010 and yes, it's our new ringtone.
Lawrence Krauss is a theoretical physicist, cosmologist and professor whose latest book is A Universe From Nothing. He made waves with a recent address, "Stop Validating Ignorance," where he suggested that basing education on religious beliefs over scientific reality is tantamount to child abuse.
Mid-Show Guest:
Tina Brown will join the panel mid-show. She is Editor-In-Chief of The Daily Beast and Newsweek, aka News Beast. Last week, Brown partnered with Angelina Jolie to announce how the Women in the World Foundation would be supporting girls’ education through the Malala Fund.
