At one point, they thought he might be in the San Diego area, but he's apparently somewhere else. He's got at least one firearm though, so everyone be careful.
Please disregard the story that says that they have located the shooter. It is a false alarm and hasn't been edited to reflect that.

(146,248 posts)know that the earlier report is wrong and out of date. If the OP of that old report will edit that OP, I will self delete this. Until then, I wan't to let people know. Folks are still replying in that thread as though it were still timely.
Thing is, that poster has me on Ignore, so I can't let the OP know. So, I'm doing the best I can.
Maybe you can communicate that the OP should be edited. Once it is, I will self-delete this OP. How's that?
Luminous Animal
(27,310 posts)How about you edit for rudeness.
MineralMan
(146,248 posts)I edited it. The other post is still incorrect and out of date. The OP should be edited to let people know. My attempt at humor was apparently unsuccessful.

(27,310 posts)I'd alert but it is not worth seeing common decency over ruled by a jury, yet again.
MineralMan
(146,248 posts)The OP of the other thread should do the same, so people are not confused, now that the story is no longer current or correct.

(146,248 posts)to the first reply, in hopes that people would notice it and know that the OP is incorrect and out of date. Thanks for your suggestion, but I did that before posting this thread.

(28,158 posts)Stalking them in their threads to mock them? That's acceptable around here?
I can't believe this stuff is even happening. I wish people would just learn to use the ignore function if they cannot agree with a poster. Rather than play mean games with them. There is a person on the other side of their computer/device too you know.

(68,918 posts)But the ignore function takes the fun out of it.
It took walking away for awhile for this to become ever more clear to me.
And given that some of the most egregious posts come from those who have been under attack proves that the bullied do become the bulliers at times.

(28,158 posts)It's as if their vision becomes tunneled by what they've been experiencing and it skews their perceptions of everyone. It's never a pretty sight to witness.
DU3 made me more fully understand why the admin used to utilize the forced ignore on DU2. Some people cannot get along and refuse to leave the person they don't like alone. Period.

REASON FOR ALERT:
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. (See <a href="http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=aboutus#communitystandards" target="_blank">Community Standards</a>.)
ALERTER'S COMMENTS:
1) MineralMan is mocking Nadin which is rude. And in doing so, the thread has evolved in a thread suitable for Meta and thus off topic.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu Feb 7, 2013, 03:32 PM, and the Jury voted 1-5 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: You've got to be fucking kidding me. Nadin refuses to update her thread, so MM is providing up-to-date information. And, if you think the thread is off-topic, alert for SOP and let Hosts deal with it.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT and said: Agreed, against CS.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: Stop being ban-happy, you idjits! If you disagree, post a damn reply yourself.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(27,310 posts)Which is a good thing in my book even. Though, without reading MineralMan's edits, it looks like a frivolous alert.
MineralMan
(146,248 posts)I should not have written it that way. I have edited the OP of this post. The story referenced remains incorrect and out of date.
Note: I'm having a somewhat difficult day. My 88-year-old- father, who recently was recovering from a subdural hematoma, is now in intensive care with pneumonia. He's in very critical condition. I'm in Minnesota and he's in California, and I can't get there until tomorrow night. So, my patience is at a low ebb today, and my sense of humor is not what it should be. It's very likely that I will not arrive before he passes. That's not an excuse. It's an explanation for my poor attitude today.

(146,248 posts)and I just got back from a week there the other day. I'm keeping my hopes up, and they are treating my father as aggressively as they can. It's not certain what the outcome will be, and he could recover.
