Need some inspiration and hope?

There's obviously plenty of news to be sad and furious about, news which fills us with despair and hopelessness.

There are also wonderful things happening out there. It needs to be injected here periodically to balance the ick and give us a reason to keep fighting, imho.

I created a Facebook Page to CURATE GOOD. It's set to public, so you don't have to be on Facebook to see the posts and read them.

https://www.facebook.com/CurateGood

There are already quite a few posts. Just scroll down the page and peruse them; I can't pick a favorite to showcase here. They're all touching and inspiring in different ways.

Meet the Malawi president who is doing the right thing...a class of fifth-graders supporting their friend with leukemia...several heartwarming stories of humans helping our animal friends...a 13-year-old who started a business which saved her family...so much more.

If you're on Facebook and stumble upon good news stories, please share on the CURATE GOOD page.

(sorry the graphic below is so big and in your face...lol)

When you laugh the world laughs with you. When you cry you cry alone. It is just like your poster but updated. Nice really, really nice. Thanks for sharing.

I'd heard it as well, so I looked it up. Thanks.

"Solitude," by Ella Wheeler Wilcox (1850 - 1919)

Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone;
For the sad old earth
Must borrow its mirth,
It has trouble enough of its own.

Sing, and the hills will answer;
Sigh, it is lost on the air;
The echoes bound
To a joyful sound,
But shrink from voicing care.

Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they turn and go;
They want full measure
Of all your pleasure,
But they do not want your woe.

Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad, and you lose them all;
There are none to decline
Your nectared wine,
But alone you must drink life's gall.

Feast, and your halls are crowded;
Fast, and the world goes by;
Succeed and give,
And it helps you live,
But it cannot help you die.

There is room in the halls of pleasure
For a long and lordly train;
But one by one
We must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain.

It's hard work to stay aware and informed yet not get lost in a sea of despair.

For me, positive action is what maintains my sanity. For now, at least...lol.
