were all trained by the National Enquirer or the Bristish tabloids. And they don't have to read the stories first.

1. The majority of the jobs being created are low-wage. They are not really helping the problem. We need middle income jobs back and they are not coming back. These jobs being created are mainly low-wage service workers with little to no benefits. These jobs are actually bad for the long term. If this keeps up the youth is in very serious trouble.
2. 157,000 jobs created is barely keeping up with the growth of the labor force. We are basically treading water.

It depends on interpretation since technically there was "positive job growth." But in reality this is a very, very weak recovery. A strong recovery would be at least double what is being created right now. And the jobs would be middle-income jobs in the $30k to $60k range. That's not happening.

But it's again a matter of interpretation. Right now I'm taking the "glass is half-empty" approach.

10. As with any report there are pluses and minuses

On one hand, the upward revisions to previous months were a positive. The worrying thing is that this moth the the age group showing the biggest number of job additions was the 16-19 group. Other age groups showed LOSSES, which implies lower quality jobs being created.

I would have expected better figures, especially in light of the unseasonally warm weather. We'll have to wait and see what the February numbers bring.

The only difference between Huffpo and Faux is the degree of evil.
