Video of pro gun rally in MO last weekend. Crazy alert!!!

Rep. Steve Stockman from Texas has promised to file articles of impeachment if Obama limits gun ownership.

There will be orders to invade states that assert their sovereignty.

Cities will be turned into concentration camps and citizens will be imprisoned there.

Jesus told us to carry weapons.

And that is just the first couple minutes.

THESE PEOPLE ARE IN FUCKING SANE.

1. This is the crazy talking, I don't know if the gun manufacters are paying them or not

but if not the manufacters are getting free crazy advertising. The more I hear from this bunch the worse they sound. My goodness, they say guns don't kill, neither does drugs, video games or movies by their definition.

that the whole Sandy Hook thing is just blown way out of proportion. It's not like it happens every day or something.

5. If he means "compared to the hundred or so gun deaths since then" I could see making that argument

I do think there's a tendency to focus on "spectacular" (in the classical sense) crimes to the exclusion of the much more mundane crimes and accidents that kill many, many more people every year.

6. I didn't think of it in that context.

You could very well be right.
The gang killings in our inner cities don't garner the national attention like the Sandy Hook type shootings do.

7. Eminem, of all people, makes that point in one of his songs

When a dude's gettin bullied and shoots up his school
And they blame it on Marilyn and the heroin
Where were the parents at? And look where it's at
Middle America, now it's a tragedy
Now it's so sad to see, an upper class city
Havin this happenin
Then attack Eminem 'cause I rap this way

I think it can be important to bring up because random mass shootings probably call for different policies than "normal" gun violence does; it's really two different problems.

it's the person meme gets real old.

I made the mistake of writing some douchebag in CO who is the head of some gun association and the guy wrote me 4 incoherent emails of babble and NRA lies. Shit like hammers cause more deaths than guns...they are crazy.

Damn it could be South Carolina. We live in this arm pit of the universe and have to listen to this garbage every day. It least the stupid isn't just contained to the deep south. I tossed my breakfast when the "cheerleader" appeared. God what a moron.

I am ashamed and afraid to think I have grown up here and my children live here.

Did that blonde woman actually say she was only used to being told she could talk when her husband told her she could.

And these are the people who want guns?

Please send good vibes to those of us here in Mo who are not at all like these people and have to live among them.
Thank you!
