Clinton May Suffer from Double-Vision (Oh oh, what will the lemmings say?)

Clinton May Suffer from Double-Vision

The eyeglasses worn by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in recent days appear to be for treating double-vision, the New York Daily News reports.

"As she testified about the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, the secretary of state appeared to have tiny vertical lines etched onto the left lens of her new brown specs... Experts told the Daily News that Clinton likely has a Fresnel prism placed on her glasses. The adhesive panel is used to treat double vision."

A Clinton spokesman confirmed to Daily Intelligencer that Clinton will "be wearing these glasses instead of her contacts for a period of time because of lingering issues stemming from her concussion."

so why didn't she get a prism in the lens itself? Is the double vision that bad? Why the adhesive? antigop Jan 2013 #7
Maybe they think it will be a temporary condition. yellowcanine Jan 2013 #10
She could have had it made by now. And you don't think she could have expedited? Come on. nt antigop Jan 2013 #12

It was only in one eye and I wore a patch over my bad eye. It went away by itself after 4 months. I wish Hillary well and hopefully her's will also heal by itself.

Did anyone here catch John Kerry's confirmation hearing yesterday, when congressman (little c) Ron Johnson asked Kerry about some of the statements Hillary had made the day before? John Kerry, first told Johnson, that if he were looking for daylight between himself and Hillary, he was looking in the wrong place. He then asked Johnson did he attend the briefing that the Intelligence Community provided to the members of Congress. Sheep Johnson sheepishly admitted that he hadn't and Kerry told him that, had he attended that briefing which was given for members of Congress, that he would have the answers to ALL his questions. You could hear the Swwwsssshhhh as the air went out the Johnson's sail.

Kerry may be soft-spoken, but he can pull the zingers when he wants to.

I wondered about Hillary's glasses and thought something must be wrong with her eyesight. I hope it mends as it has to be an aggravation.

As to the hearings, have Hillary and Kerry shown them that it would be best to return to some sense of civility, since they are no match for Democrats? They are just making asses of themselves. Good comedy, though.

Or maybe it is a temporary fix until she can get a new lens made. Generally special lenses take a couple of weeks minimum.

Suppose the double vision showed up two days ago? And do you even have a clue as to how much specialty lenses can cost? I do and I don't even have that kind of lens. Not every technician or every lab can do a complicated prescription like that. They may not have the know how or the equipment. Insurance doesn't always cover it and if one expedites it it can cost a lot more.
