As a matter of fact the storm probably cost Obama votes. Not because people didn't want to vote for him, but because that area was still a big mess, oh it still is a big mess. And people had other priorities like making sure they had food, shelter, a way to get to work if they still had a job, and a whole lot of other things when your life is turned upside down and you are up rooted from your home and possibly neighborhood.
