I'm certain there are more to add to the list...

Rendell has been a disappointment...I honestly thought he was a decent Dem but his true colors have shown up since he left the governor's mansion. He is a particularly nasty shade of blue.

you should probably start a list of decent progressive Democratic representatives and Senators.

It would be smaller and much easier to compile.

And that is the sad state of our political discussion today.

announced on Friday that she has switched her party to Republican and that she's been considering it for the past six years that she's been a so-called Democratic representative. We're all furious as this gives the R's a supermajority in the State House. Today a recall Facebook page was set up with 95 likes in three hours. don't give up hope.

When this crap was done here in Michigan last year, it resulted in the quisling turncoat being not just voted out, but booted out with two feet. The Democrats were solidly behind his challenger, and the Republicans didn't even want him anymore and didn't fund his campaign.

Don't take it quiety. Organize and mobilize. Even some Republicans hate these kinds of games - I heard a lot of that when it happened here.

This sh*t is just revolting. I'm so sorry you're going through it.

She could have joined the majority caucus as a Democrat if she had wanted to (as several rural Alaskan Democrats have done over the years), but instead she chose to give the R's a supermajority, cheating a REAL Democrat out of the finance committee position. She now says that she was considering making this switch for the entire time that she's been in the House (six years), but she sure didn't tell her constituents that. She just makes me sick.

Manchin is a Democrat from W Virginia who has spoken out against gun violence and gun insanity, despite an A rating from the NRA. Most importantly, he's a Democratic vote that goes toward a D majority in the Senate. A Southern Democrat Senator cannot be the same as one from the NE, CA, or the Midwest. Of course, you can always target him in the primary, replace him with a more progressive candidate and turn the seat over to Republicans. If you want to go the way of the GOP, keep targeting Dems who fail to meet your notion of ideological purity. It's a great way to become a minority party.

Rendell and Ford are just talking heads. Go for it.

The father: Before becoming a well-heeled lobbyist with a home in the Hamptons, Harold Ford Sr. was a congressman for 32 years who broke the Republican stranglehold on his district, perfected the Election Day “Ford ballot” endorsement, and beat federal prosecutors in a celebrated corruption trial in 1993.

Uncle John: The brother of Harold Ford Sr., John Ford, now serving a 14-year prison sentence, was a powerhouse in the Tennessee General Assembly before being convicted on federal bribery charges in a sting called “Tennessee Waltz.” The trial featured undercover tapes of cash payoffs and of Ford threatening to shoot an undercover witness if Ford found out he betrayed him. (Years ago, John beat the rap after a truck driver accused him of firing a pistol at him through the sunroof of his car.)

Uncle Joe: Joe Ford is the mayor of Shelby County, which includes Memphis, and former operator of N.J. Ford and Sons Funeral Home, founded by his father. In 1999, he ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Memphis against Willie Herenton.

Aunt Ophelia: A latecomer to politics, Ophelia Ford is a state senator from Memphis. A few years ago, her weird histrionics and public rants caused family members to urge her to go to rehab. (She said she is anemic.)

Uncle Edmund: Edmund Ford Sr. was a member of the Memphis City Council who was indicted, and later acquitted, after a federal undercover witness videotaped him at his funeral home taking alleged payoffs. His son, Edmund Ford Jr., took his place on the city council.

In fact, it is easier for me to list those Democrats who are worthwhile.
Most of them are in the Progressive Caucus,
AND one Independent...Bernie Sanders.

You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their rhetoric, promises, or excuses.
