NYC vote counting has been lagging. This current report also includes 51k newly counted votes for Romney in NYC. Also, Obama also padded his lead with some Staten Island votes.
Obama's share is 51.06%, Romney's is 47.21%. Obama's popular vote lead is currently 4.965 million, a nearly 5 million vote margin.
The nationwide popular vote total stands at 129 million down from 131.3 million in 2008. Over half the drop from 2008 to 2012 is from decreased turnout in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

NYC reports 270,900 new votes for @BarackObama, just 51,431 for @MittRomney. Obama jumps to 51.06% U.S.

Stand by for a colossal new vote dump from NYC that will certainly push @BarackObama past 51% of the popular vote...(and yes, it is 12/29)
