We need you to call Congress right now and tell your Representative to re-authorize the expanded Violence Against Women Act before the end of the year.

The expansion of the Violence Against Women Act includes new protections for for the LGBT community, undocumented immigrants and Native Americans. That's why it's so important for us to pass this legislation as soon as possible.

I've seen firsthand how effective the Violence Against Women Act has been, and how much of a positive impact it's had on women's lives. In 1995, I was appointed by President Clinton as the first Director of the Office on Violence Against Women in the Department of Justice. I was proud to lead that office, but I also know that our work isn't done.

Please join me and call your member of Congress and urge them to re-authorize the expanded Violence Against Women Act before the end of the year.
