The woman was a teen counselor during 1999's mass shooting (amazingly, everyone survived that, though a postman was shot and killed by the gunman later that same day) in Granada Hills, here in L.A.

I still remember that one vividly. We had friends who went to that day camp (though none was there that day), and I had been there a few times for high holy day services.
