She helped me through the Bush years, which in retrospect might feel somewhat trivial compared to the challenges we are facing today. But back then it was a lot.

I do know she smoked heavily, unfortunately.

Hopefully it is treatable and she'll be in recovery soon. She is a talented woman.

I used to love listening to Randi Rhodes on Air America, one of my favorite segments on her show:

On a side note, every time I hear the name Randi Rhodes, I think of this guy:

He was an amazing talent, gone far too soon.

Best of luck to Randi & her treatment.

Here's why...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randi_Rhodes

Randy Rhoads was the best of the best...totally dedicated to the music. He even stopped partaking of the rock 'n roll lifestyle when he saw what it was doing to Ozzy. Randi (née Randi Bueten) clearly admired his professionalism and discipline.

Rhodes is a radio name chosen to honor Ozzy Osbourne's guitar player Randy Rhoads, whom Rhodes describes as "a consummate professional ... but he always practiced. I mean, he practiced eight hours a day. He lived to be the best."

She had finally quit smoking, apparently not soon enough.

I wish her a full recovery.

was a guest on my show to help me out. She took time out of her Sunday morning to talk politics with me, and she had to change her schedule to do it, and she did. She was wonderful on the show, and wonderfully generous to me. Get better Randi.

I hope she recovers I met her once at a Green 960 event in San Francisco and she was so friendly and gracious. I loved turning on her show after watching Thom Hartmann.

Heal quickly Randi and I’m praying for you!
