I agree with Thom Hartmann on this. President Bidens biggest mistake was not pointing out on a daily basis the programs that he and the democrats were instituting that were helping people in a very real way. The words didnt have to come directly from him. Vice president Harris or anyone else should have been doing this. It was a huge mistake to not do this.
So Bidens biggest mistake was not making mistakes, it was not letting the American people know just how much he had achieved for them. Compare that with who we have now. History will smile on President Biden.

(4,272 posts)People were saying all through the election, and continuing today, that the Democrats need to say this or that. The media does not cover what Democrats say, period. There is no "message" that will get through. That option is no longer available. I believe the pain being felt by citizens is all that will reach people. Unfortunately, it's likely there will be no further free and fair elections so I believe we're headed for some type of violent solution.

Biden was the face and chief messenger of his admininstration so delegating that to someone else would've had little impact.
His debate against Trump was the last and most important opportunity to do it with the whole country watching.

(24,172 posts)Everyday, heck, every hour. He is more an influencer than a president. But this is unfortunately the age we live in. People think Trump has done more than Biden simply due to the mass of communication from him.
Most Americans have no idea what Biden did during his term. And it isn't like the traditional media is beating down a door to tell you that. You can read all about how old Biden is, but jack about his actual presidency.

(20,352 posts)have to be spoon fed information, like children, and they have to be told what is right and what is wrong.
And it is unfortunate further, that the information doesn't seem to quite sink in, even if they are told.
Because...you know...the liberal snowflakes must be "owned".

(34,386 posts)you'd think Democrats had equal access to favorable press or something. No matter what Biden would say the press would do the opposite of what they do for Trump. The false equivalency is so irritating. The blaming Democrats for their lack of wealth and power, and not even seeing where the wealth and power the GOP has comes from really messes with my mind. How do you fix a problem when you don't define the problem...other than demeaning all Democrats that you don't see or hear about on your tv screen. Call them whimps, wusses, lacking spine...whatever. That's the solution?

Politics is perpetual motion if done correctly.
