2. Democrats

Almost all Democrats running for office in 2012 said hands off social security. They had better stand by their words or pay the price in 2014. The chained CPI is a bunch of crap. The CPI as calculated now doesn't reflect the true increase in costs to seniors.

If the Democrats want to give the Republicans another victory in 2014 like in 2010, continue down this path. You can bet that the Republicans are counting on Obama caving on the social safety net.

7. Cutting Social Security will increase gun purchases. It is

already doing so here in Long Beach. There were signs being held up by people in the parking lot of a big gun store that said. "Buy a gun before Obama cuts your Social Security". It wasn't a homemade sign either. I couldn't read the manufacturer because I couldn't get that close as the crowd was too large. But I can't really criticize these people. I have one gun, but it's old. If Obama cuts Social Security I'll be buying two more guns maybe next week in a private sale, which costs a lot of money I've heard. They certainly are elaborate. Never thought I'd be living in the old west. I hope we are not going back to horses too. I do not have the room for a horse.
