Red Republican Texas is a freeloader state, took $71.1 billion from other states.

Newsom: In 2023, Californians contributed $83.1 billion more to the federal government than we received back.

And for your viewers: that other state—Texas—took $71.1 billion more than it contributed to the federal government.

California: $83 billion, contributor.
Texas: taker.

Newsom: In 2023, Californians contributed .1 billion more to the federal government than we received back.

And for your viewers: that other state—Texas—took .1 billion more than it contributed to the federal government. California: billion, contributor. Texas: taker.

Yes, Texas does indeed have something in the water.

A LOT of ignorant people.
And I MEAN A LOT !!

Yes, there also some wonderful progressive liberals gays straight
blacks brown Asians Africans etc.

But the State motto of Texas is the IGNORAMUS.

The Ignoramus.

Otherwise know to as the….
Mental midgets, racists, white supremacy wackos, brain dead Republicans,
and the wealthy Republicans species is comprised of all the former.

And add to the mix the poor and working class rural whites, who know more
about trucks, sports, cow manure and oil rigs, than ‘eggucation’ and them foreigners

Corporations can pay the lowest wages and provide terrible benefits.
Federal funds help the millions of impoverished workers and the underfunded medical system survive.
Megacorps can use the good Texas highways paid for by the Feds.
Texas can give property tax breaks to megacorps.

The median income of California per household is $85,000 while in Texas it is $ 67,000. Given that California has 8 million more residents than Texas, it shouldn't be a surprise that their residents would pay more in income taxes to the Treasury Dept than Texas does.

No different than Beverly Hills, California paying a lot more in state taxes than Compton does. Should taxes be cut in Beverly Hills and raised in Compton to make it more equitable?
