We all know they are lying. Constantly. Awake/asleep. In private conversations or public presentations.

They don't know how to get back on the truth wagon - it would require a complete rewiring of their brains. And we know that people of this bent don't know how to update their software.

It can't be that old a quote - if anyone wants to check HC Richardson to see if you find it, her Substack is here:

I subscribe (for free) but I'm behind on reading so ir means nothing that I haven't seen it there.

Like the fake Martha Stewart quote that was floating around DU the last couple days.

Inskeep is too aware of NPR's precarious footing to editorialize so freely, and HCR doesn't speak in questions.

As NPR’s Steven Inskeep put it: “If I understand this correctly, the US president has launched a trade war against the world, believes he can force the EU and China to meet his terms, is determined to annex Canada and Greenland, but is powerless before the sovereign might of El Salvador. Is that it?”

Theatre for the absurd. No doubt stupid people understand it. Very simple. A real honest to goodness President of the United States would never have allowed it to happen in the first place.
