Former co-worker: "Now they're going too far"

She’s upset about Trump saying they can deport people with green cards. Her husband is a Chilean who is probably here on a green card. I think her husband probably voted for Trump - he is a “fake” Libertarian - he does not know American politics at all. I don’t know where she stands politically but they are quite wealthy. In an office full of liberal social workers who railed against Republicans, she was always very tight-lipped about her views so she may have voted for Trump. So now they have to live in fear.

The leopard is eating their faces…

The ability to deport non-citizens — even those with residency visas — is a longstanding legal precedent held up for over a century.

The ability to deport naturalized citizens has never been held up, and stricken down every time it was tried.

The OP is suggesting that this person with a green card was also voting for Trump, and that's just not possible. As for protection from deportation... that's being tested right now.

on a green card from Columbia. Yes they couldn’t vote but she and her family also here on green card status were vocal about supporting Trump.

Also a friend of mine her son’s fiancé and her family all here on green cards from Mexico all Trump supporters.

There is the Catholic religious aspect (being brainwashed at church) but also there are the Spanish speaking radio stations? Huge for these Spanish speaking immigrants. Not sure Dems tapped into that or maybe they did but too late? Many Spanish speaking citizens and immigrants get their information from these stations.

Defies logic. Sure hope our Kim is not deported. Works so very very hard and throws in money to help her mom and brother. They all live together. Probably one of the hardest working young adults I know. Waitressing. Works a few jobs at all times. Housecleaning as well.

Why any immigrant, why any LGBTQ person, why any person of color, in short why does anyone at all who is not a white male ever support Trump?

It's not as though he was a great President the first time around. It's not as though he hasn't said exactly what he intends all along.

But also goes to the entire way they were able to brainwash not only the Hispanic community but the green card holders themselves. Which was the overall reason I made this post. We have some work to do on our side to reach out to the Hispanic community and many others.

Tragic IMO.

It’s the whole abortion thing AND fear of trans people - 😤.

My husband and I can hardly stand it.

One thing about green card holders- If they commit a crime, they can be deported. It’s that simple. And,
I worry that T47 will make up trumped up charges just to deport them.

Actions have consequences.

My husband is a naturalized citizen. Been a citizen since the 60's
We applied for a passports in Jan.

We gave my husband's naturalization paper with the application.
They "LOST" his naturalization papers and neither the PO or passport office is taking responsibility.

So he technically does not have papers. We have a copy.

BTW a person with a green card cannot vote or hold office.

they went after the liberals, democrats, the handicapped and Jews.

And now, as the only ones left, tRUMP calls for his own voters, the poorly educated, white trash to be either deported and/or have their wages slashed to the bone.

I apologize...I know I mangled this saying but there are a lot of different versions of this saying.

I already had read of someone who had an apparently a valid green card, so why in the hell was he picked up?
