Canada and Canadians are our friends. End of Story.

Our countries grew up together, have worked together, and have enjoyed economic prosperity
together and more importantly have seen each other as families and friends for generations too.

And those Americans that choose to make something as beautiful as what we have with the
Canadians into a made up series of problems are the real enemies of America.

Atikokan, Ontario will always have a special place in my heart.

...Trump, you ignorant slut! I don't like most of Trumps' tactics with our neighbors and allies, but I feel most embarrassed by his non sensical treatment of Canada. Even if I was President (ha!) and wanted to go there because I need 100% of fentanyl deliveries and 100% of illegal immigration stopped, I would not attack Canada, I would hold them up as someone doing their best and doing a great job and say thank you, and let us help you do more and please share how you do this as well as you do. You know, what Trump can't be, be a REAL leader!

is that it is the US border guards that are tasked with preventing it coming into the country. Canadian border guards are responsible for the drugs and guns coming into our country. Why is that so hard for republicans to understand?

Spent lots of time up there over the years in Alberta and BC when I was in the horse business. Also lots of skiing in Alberta and BC (mostly Whistler). We spend at least 2 weeks in the summer in BC. Canadians are great people and I fear that toxic shit in the WH will ruin that relationship.

A friend and I had just finished about 2 weeks in the bush in N.Western Ontario and as we were
canoeing past a cabin the man called us into his dock, they made a great dinner and a breakfast
for us, and gave us real beds and showers for the night.

If you can’t get along with Canadians then the problem is not with Canadians but with you.

in the 1920’s. So I have relatives there, in Alberta and B.C. My Grandpa came over with him (from Slovakia) and after two years went to Braddock, PA. I am sad and embarrassed over The Felon’s actions.

Friendly good people. Allies and blood brothers from the beaches of Normandy on.

Like others here and in our Country, I am sickened and angered at the stab in the back the us dd to Canadians. I am disgusted by the TSF voters who bought misery on a friend.

will feel it as a recession. We have a ferry, which is owned by a few individuals - employees who bought the ferry company and I believe there is a real possibility they will go bankrupt. Lumber from Canada comes in on that ferry and the tourists account for a lot of our tourist dollars.
My neighbor who has dual citizenship tells me that the Canadians are standing together against the US. Travel to the US would be treason at this point.
It is a beautiful ship. If we lose it, I am sure it will be taken away for good. This is not a wealthy corporation but a few men who wanted to keep this route alive.

Why treat our friends the Canadians so badly?

is trump's insanity. During Covid, the ferry company was able to get recovery funds to make it though but the casualties this time will just disappear. Maybe it will make it through as a lot of people go back and forth for medical care - US to Canada, and other reasons.

My neighbor (dual citizen) has a consulting business and most of her clients are in Canada. They are dropping away because she is located here in Washington. Again - that is on trump! Right now she is torn because she is watching her country under attack and she feels she should be there too. She is questioning whether to go back or not.

This pain is all so unnecessary.

Unfortunately I will not be travelling to the US in the near future. Even if he takes the tariffs off, I will not visit as long as he or any republican is President. We do still welcome the American people in our country and we will not likely shoot any.

I went to summer camp for years in Vermont and he was the canoeing counselor. They always come to camp reunions and I really love his wife. Though French is their first language, they're bilingual, and his very smart wife once gave me a lecture on the unfitness of TFG.

Been there a few times but the one that stands out was a trip to
see the '72 Grand Prix at Mosport in Bowmanville ON. Fell in with
these four guys from a small town called Napanee in Ontario.
It was also the drunkest weekend I ever had.
