I pay off my car and then make those payments to myself until I could buy the next one with cash. Said it’s almost save me half for it.
Smart guy, I have never had another car payment.
I really miss him.

My partner and I do the same thing. Two years ago we came into some money and decided to buy a new car for the first time since we are in our 70s.
In two years it decreased in value almost by 1/2!!!!!!!!!!!!
