This video is from the Minority Report. Start at 1: 45 and listen up to 6:30.
Then ask yourself if you think "Leader" Jefferies is the man to lead the resistance to the ongoing coup. A coup is not normal and the reaction to a coup requires more than old platitudes.
We need a new Minority Leader. I am going to suggest AOC, or Melanie Stansbury, or Jasmine Crockett (there are a few others that could be equally effective). They may be young, but they are also fire brands. Age is no predictor of success. Alexander the Great became King of Macedonia at age 20. By age 32, at the head of his armies, with sword and spear in hand, he conquered most of the known world (Afghanistan was a defeat, but he was wish enough to cut his losses).
Nancy Pelosi led her caucus like a general commanding her troops. We need another war time general. We need a new leader that will make sparks fly and rally the troops. What generally happens in the early stages of war is that the old guard is found wanting. Those unable to get the job done are pushed aside. That doesn't mean you have lost faith in the cause. You just find the right leader. Lincoln didn't give up on the cause, although at times it looked doomed to failure. He sorted through numerous incompetents until he found Grant. We need an "Unconditional Grant" and we need her now.
I will now prepare for flying brick bats.
This is a coup!
Good Night and Good Luck

(283,251 posts)This requires way more than who works well when speaking. Sometimes the most boring nerds have done the most homework.
This requires TEAM not divide and let others rule.
I support promoting the younger folks but right now the Dems need collective TEAM leadership.
