But wasn't my idea! I had subscribed to Sling for a while, and having BBC News Channel in their lineup was a main reason why I got them. Then BBC Studios (the commercial arm of the BBC) only went ahead and worked with their US partner AMC to launch a series of BBC Branded free ad supported Streaming TV channels. And also made BBC News free to stream.
