If you can't participate, don't. But you don't need to poo poo this effort, for fuck's sake. People know Feb. 5 is a Wednesday. We don't need you to tell us that. Spare us the condescension.

Is there a page or a list of future protests rallies one could go to? I just saw this and can't go, but would like to know about future events. Also, what else can we do? Write to our reps in Congress? Just signed up to this group. We need to organize, and I feel a little lost finding one or two groups with ideas, information and agendas that take action. Thanks for your time.

If you don't want to help, then get out of the way. Don't try to sabotage this thing by calling it a setup. These are brave folks doing what they can, hoping to get weekday media attention and setting a spark to encourage more protests.

And Elon's got his eye on turning the site into YET another Nazi shithole we don't need. Something is up and I don't know what.

This is just the beginning, I'm sure there will be more protests as the pain of what Trump - Musk is doing hits individuals.

I look forward to the day he and his enablers are given the Osama Bin Laden treatment.

If you look at that link you will see a huge protest RIGHT NOW in downtown LA shutting down the freeways with massive crowds of people protesting the immigration sweeps. Nothing in the news about it, of course!

California's Capitol is in Sacramento, and the r/Sacramento reddit page has been posting about the February 5 protest.

Or start your own local supporting protest. Even just one girl sitting on a lawn chair protesting -- on a weekday-- can get media attention if she's creative about it. Ask Greta Thunberg.

Here's a post on the Sacramento reddit page about it:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Sacramento/s/7Yphe78xg5

That post answers your question as follows:

Who is the sponsor? There’s no official organization behind this event. It was started by passionate, everyday Americans who believe in standing up for what’s right. Don’t wait for an established group to speak out—this is about individuals coming together to voice their dissent.

Are we all protesting at our own state capitals at noon local time, so all of us protesting at different times or does it start at noon in a specific time zone and everyone protests at that time?

To say it more clearly is it option A or B?
A. 12pm Pacific, 12pm Mountain, 12pm Central, 12pm Eastern (Not protesting at the same time)
B. 12pm Pacific, 1pm Mountain, 2pm Central, 3pm Eastern (Protesting at the same time)

For me this is a 3 hour time difference, so I'd like to get it right.

Lots of questions answered at the reddit page for Sacramento (which is California's Capitol city).

On Reddit and Bluesky there are more specifics under 50501, but as I was scrolling I saw that in some cities it will be at different times because other protests had been scheduled at noon! Interesting! Where required, they are getting permits, so they have to have times.
